Freshman Kelli Dombroski turned in a great performance on Friday evening in the Immaculata women’s soccer teams’ season-opening victory over Penn State Lehigh Valley by a final of 13-0. Dombroski registered a hat trick in this contest by scoring a pair of goals in the first half of play before adding another goal in the 48^th minute to complete the trick in under 50 minutes of action. With this accomplishment, Dombroski became just the eighth different Mighty Mac to register a hat trick and the first to do so in their collegiate debut. This three-goal performance was also crucial in enabling the Macs to tie a program record that was initially set in the 2002 season for goals scored in a game (13), and margin of victory (13) both of which were originally set in October of 2002 opposite Wilson. For the week, Kelli recorded six total shots with four of those shots finding their way on goal and three of those shots resulted in goals, which gave the freshman a total of three goals and six points on the week.
