Junior guard Roy Ferrell Jr. was tabbed Mighty Mac of the Week on February 1. Ferrell Jr. had a monster week averaging 29.5 points per game while shooting 52.8% (19-for-36) from the field, 16-for-22 (72.7%) from the line, and 5-for-8 (62.5%) from three point range as the men's basketball team went 1-1 the previous week.

He had a season-high 31 points in Wednesday's tight loss to Neumann, shooting 12-for-19 from the field and 4-for-4 from three-point range. Ferrell Jr. followed that up on Saturday with 28 points in an overtime win over Centenary, going 13-for-18 from the free throw line. He also averaged 4.5 rebounds during the week.
