Sara Smith is Mighty Mac of the Week after another outstanding postseason performance that ended with the women's basketball team as the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Runner-Up for the second straight year. Â Smith tied a career-high in the CSAC Semifinals when she scored 28 points to help the Macs defeat Gwynedd Mercy, 74-46. Â She scored 20 of her points in the second half to help IU blow the game open as she shot 9-for-16 from the field and 10-for-11 from the line. Â She added in eight rebounds, three assists, and three steals as well to lift Immaculata back into the CSAC Championship game. Â In the title game, the Mighty Macs fells 68-53, but Smith put up a great effort with 18 points and 13 rebounds for her third double-double of her career. Â Smith finished her career 11th on the all-time scoring list with 1,195 points.
