Women’s soccer midfielder Anne Marie Popgoshev has been recognized for her efforts last week by being named both the Mighty Mac of the Week and selected to the Colonial States Athletic Conference honor roll.
Popgoshev helped the Mighty Macs to a 2-0 week, and 1-0 mark in conference play after handing Marywood its first conference loss of the season on Saturday. The California, Md., native tallied the lone goal in a 1-0 shutout victory against the Pacers, earning the Mighty Macs a spot in the CSAC Tournament. Immaculata also defeated Penn State Berks, 3-0, in non-conference action on Thursday, in which Popgoshev scored two goals, including the game-winner.
