Bridget Welz from the Immaculata women's basketball team was tabbed as the Mighty Mac of the Week on February 13 after helping Immaculata go undefeated in CSAC play last week and scoring the 1,000th point of her career.
Welz averaging 14.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.0 steals as the Mighty Macs went 2-0 last week. In a 65-32 win opposite Philadelphia Biblical, the Flourtown, Pa., native scored 15 points, including the 1,000th point of her career, while adding nine rebounds and three steals.
Immaculata capped the week on Saturday with a 73-52 win against Rosemont, where Welz scored 14 points on a 7-for-11 showing from the field, and added six rebounds, three steals and two assists
