GALLOWAY, N.J.- The Immaculata men's lacrosse team (0-4) travelled to Stockton University (6-1) on a cold Wednesday night for a non-conference contest, and the Mighty Macs were unable to recover from a tough first half as they fell to the Ospreys, 18-4.

Brian Shultis scored a pair of goals to lead the offensive effort, while freshmen
Ethan Johnson and
Kyle Poteete each scored one goal apiece. Poteete also scooped up a team-high five groundballs and senior
Jake Kemble had four groundballs and a team-best two caused turnovers. Junior
Tyler Black went 7-for-15 in the faceoff circle.

The Mighty Macs struggled in the first half as they were outshot 32-7 and the Ospreys scored six goals in both the first and second quarters to take a 12-0 lead into the half. States did all he could as he made nine of his stops in the first 30 minutes, but the Stockton offense was too much.

The Macs found their offense coming out of the locker room as Johnson got the Macs on the board 3:23 into the third quarter with the first goal of his career, but Stockton put two more on the board to lead IU 14-1 heading to the fourth.

In the fourth, Shultis scored just nine seconds into the period, and following a Stockton goal, Poteete netted the first goal of his collegiate career. Shultis scored his second of the contest after three Osprey tallies to get to the total of 18-4.

The Mighty Macs will head to Bryn Athyn next Wednesday, April 22
nd for a non-conference game.
