IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata women's tennis won its four-consecutive match Friday afternoon with a 9-0 win against Notre Dame of Maryland. The Mighty Macs are inching closer to securing a spot in the postseason as they are now 9-4 overall and 5-2 in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) play.

Immaculata started the match by winning at all three doubles positions.
Lauren Degnan and
Kelly Gross teamed up to defeat Elizabeth Tran and Natalie Smith, 8-0, at the top spot.
Annaliese Kambouroglos and
Caitlin Savage paired up for an 8-2 win opposite Carrie Naylor and Kaitlyn Sommer in the second position.
Susan Callahan and
Claire Stimson battled at third doubles with Sandy Vo and Catherine Brudzinski but were able to come out ahead, 8-5.

Degnan was the first singles match to finish as she won 6-2, 6-0 against Tran at the first spot, and Gross clinched the match for the Mighty Macs as she dispatched Naylor, 6-0, 6-0 at second singles.
Timesha Smith, playing sixth singles, was next off the court with a 6-1, 6-1 victory against Morgan Harter. Kambouroglos, at third, won in straight 6-0 sets against Sommer, while Savage won at fifth singles against Vo, 6-0, 6-1.

Callahan, who lost her opening set, 6-3, came back strong for a 6-0 win in the second set, and took the fourth singles match with her 10-5 win in the tiebreaker.

Immaculata hosts Cabrini tomorrow at noon in its next match.
