Mighty Macs Defeat Penn State-Berks, 8-1

IMMACULATA, Pa.
- The Immaculata women's tennis team (4-1) won their second straight match with an 8-1 victory over Penn State-Berks (0-1).  The Mighty Macs swept all six singles matches en route to the non-league win.
 
In doubles, junior Kara Trowbridge and sophomore Nicole Burley won 8-2 in second doubles, while sophomore Annaliese Kambouroglos and senior Pattie McGinley won by default in the third slot.
 
In singles, the Mighty Macs dominated and didn't drop a set to seal the victory.  In second singles, junior Emily Degnan won 6-3, 6-0, and
 Burley won 6-0, 6-1 in third singles.
 
In the fourth spot, Trowbridge moved her record to 4-0 with a 6-1, 6-2 victory and Kambouroglos won 6-1, 6-0 in the fifth spot.
 
In the sixth position, sophomore Jenna Fratterelli won by default, and sophomore Lauren Degnan won 6-4, 6-4 in the first position.
 
The Mighty Macs will go back into CSAC play on Friday when they host Notre Dame.
