Mighty Macs Dominate Notre Dame to Cap Season

IMMACULATA, Pa.-
The Immaculata Women's tennis team finished their season on a strong note by knocking off Notre Dame of Maryland by an 8-1 score this afternoon.  The Mighty Macs finished the season 6-11 overall and 5-5 in the CSAC.

Everyone who played today got victories, starting with a sweep of the doubles.  Emily Degnan and Paige Sparks won easily by a score of 8-2.  Kara Trowbridge and Theresa Martini defeated their opponent 8-4.  Lastly, Racha Mouawad and Julie Einwechter won 8-3.

In singles, the Mighty Macs took five of the six matches.  Winners included: Degnan (6-2, 7-6), Martini (6-4, 6-0), Trowbridge (6-0, 6-1), and Einwechter (6-1, 6-1).  The final winner of the day was the team's lone senior, Ally Minton.  She won the final match of her career 6-1, 6-0 to finish the season with a strong 6-8 record in singles play.
