BALTIMORE, Md. – Immaculata University's women's tennis squad ushered in the 2011 campaign with a Colonial States Athletic Conference match at College of Notre Dame on Thursday afternoon dropping the match to the Gators, 5-4.

The Mighty Macs (0-1, 0-1 CSAC) picked up two points in doubles at the second and third position and won both fifth and sixth singles.

Molly Greco and Olivia Kauffman with both double winners in the match. Greco paired with Julie Einwechter at second doubles to down Anna Schmedding and Steph Thackoordeen, 8-5. In singles, Greco defeated Megan Kemp at the fifth spot in straight 6-0 sets.

Kauffman was joined by Pattie McGinley at third doubles for an 8-2 victory against Kemp and Alexandra Osorio. Kauffman then again handed Osorio a loss at sixth singles, 6-4, 6-1.

Immaculata opens the home portion of the schedule on Saturday hosting Cedar Crest College at 1 p.m.
