Men's Soccer Wins Home Opener, 3-0

IMMACULATA, Pa.
– Immaculata University ushered in the men's soccer home opener on Wednesday night by shutting out visiting Penn State Harrisburg, 3-0, at Draper Walsh Stadium in a non-conference game.

Kyle Craig gave the Mighty Macs (1-5) a quick strike in the 12th minute as he scored on a long thru-ball from Chris Conlan.

Immaculata led 1-0 at halftime in what was an evenly played game during the first half. Penn State Harrisburg (4-1) held a slight advance in shots (9-7) and the teams were even with two corner kicks apiece.

Kameron Teel made his presence known in the second half, scoring twice just 14 minutes apart to stake Immaculata out to a 3-0 lead with 16 minutes remaining in the game. Teel scored his first tally off a Kevin Glenn throw-in that he headed into the net. Teel's goal in the 74th minute again came off a throw-in, this time from Kyle Craig that he was able to turn and boot past a diving Lions' goalkeeper.

Chris Raudabaugh picked up his first collegiate win in goal after making eight saves. Penn State Harrisburg keeper Josh Wolff played the first 79 minute, allowing three goals and making six stops. Toan Ngo played the final 11 minutes for the Lions with one save.

The teams were all tied up at 19 shots apiece, and Immaculata finished with a 5-3 edge in corners.

Immaculata heads back out on the road on Saturday, traveling to Delaware Valley for a 2:30 p.m. start.
