Golf Predicted Fifth In CSAC Preseason Poll

ASTON, Pa. – Immaculata University's golf team has been predicted to finish fifth in the 2010 Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) preseason coaches' poll as released Wednesday by the league office. The Mighty Macs collected a total of 25 points in the voting.

Cabrini College, two-time defending champion, was selected to again capture the title this season, earning a total of 47 points and receiving five first-place votes. Keystone College, conference runner-up in 2009, was picked second after earning 42 points and one first-place nod.

Neumann University (32), who received one first-place vote, finished in third place. Philadelphia Biblical University (27) narrowly edged out Immaculata for fourth. Centenary College (15) and Baptist Bible (8) round out the preseason poll in sixth and seventh, respectively.

Immaculata opens the 2010 season on March 22 taking part in the Swarthmore Invitational at 1 p.m. at Rolling Green Golf Club.
