IMMACULATA, Pa. - Immaculata University was defeated by Penn State Berks, 9-0, in women's tennis action on Tuesday afternoon in a non-conference match.

After going down 3-0 after the doubles points, the Mighty Macs fought back during singles play. Theresa Martini dropped her match at second singles, 6-2, 6-3, to Aimee Hoffman, while Julie Einwechter went down, 6-3, 6-3 to Amanda Fuller at the third spot.

The bottom half of Immaculata's lineup each had close sets. Kelsey Piliero dropped a 7-5, 6-1 match to Rebecca Loewenstein-Harting at four, Olivia Kauffman lost at the fifth position to Samantha Warga, 6-4, 6-1, and Elizabeth Strauch fell to Melissa Boyer, 6-2, 7-5, at six singles.

Immaculata (3-11) concludes the 2010 season tomorrow afternoon hosting Lancaster Bible at 3:30 p.m.
