BALTIMORE, Md. - Immaculata's women's tennis team fell to the host College of Notre Dame Gators, 9-0, in a Colonial States Athletic Conference match Wednesday afternoon.
Immaculata now drops to 1-10 overall and 1-6 in the CSAC while Notre Dame improves to 3-5 overall, 2-5 in the league.
The Mighty Macs' top doubles pair of
Erika LaMarch and
Felicia Thomas played a close match against the Gators' Miku White and Kelcy Bye before falling 8-5.
Kaitlyn O'Donnell and
Brittany Foster teamed up against Madeleine Foster and Steph Thackoordeen at No. 2 doubles, losing 8-2.
In singles action, Immaculata lost the top four positions in eight-game pro sets. White took No. 1 singles against LaMarch, 8-2, while Bye won at the second spot against Thomas, 8-0. O'Donnell lost to Foster at third singles, 8-2, and Foster went down 8-2 at No. 4 against Thackoordeen.
Elizabeth Strauch, playing in her first match of the season, fell 6-1, 6-0 to Manda Hollister at the fifth position.
Immaculata next plays at Cabrini on Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 3:30 p.m.
