IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata University's men's soccer squad dropped its lid-lifter to Rowan University 3-0 on Tuesday night inside Draper Walsh Stadium.
Rowan benefited from a goal off Petter Lunde's boot on a cross from Zack Zahrend in the 21st minute, and Julian Berrios' tally from Mike Pascale's feed with just over five minutes remaining before halftime came the Profs a 2-0 halftime advantage. The Profs limited Immaculata to just two shots in the first half while taking 11.
The Profs' third goal came with just 21 seconds left in the contest as Ryan Gordan slipped behind Immaculata goalkeeper Stone Gahagan for the easy score.
The Mighty Macs managed just six shots and three corner kicks compared to the Profs' 17 shots and five corners.
Gahagan played all 90 minutes making eight saves while taking the loss for Immaculata. Charlie Cunliffe earned the win for Rowan with four stops.
Immaculata is back in action at Penn State Harrisburg on Saturday at 2 p.m.
