WYOMING, Del. - Immaculata University's golf team is in seventh position after the first round at the Wesley Spring Invitational being held at Wild Quail Country Club. The Mighty Macs shot a 347 as a team on the par-72, 6794-yard course.
Chris Ware finished with an opening-round 79 to lead the team, and tie for fourth individually after day one.
Sean Rowan carded an 86 which ties him for 18th while
Rob Blair shot an 89 for 26th place.
Zack Robie and
Jeff DiGiacomo each came in the clubhouse with rounds of 93, tying them in 30th place.
Rutgers-Camden leads the seven-team field after shooting a combined 314 for the first round. Stevenson University is second at 329 and West Chester University is third with 331.
Brett Hagen from Rutgers-Camden stands atop the individual leader board after carding a round of 75.
Immaculata tees off tomorrow morning for the second and final round.
