Immaculata University men's soccer team defeated Penn State - Harrisburg 2-0, in non-conference action on Monday, September 24, in Middletown, Pennsylvania.
The Mighty Macs (4-4) jumped on the board quickly as junior Gio DeMartini registered a goal at 0:51 off an assist from freshman Kevin Glenn. Immaculata pushed its lead to 2-0 when Glenn found the back of the net at 26:10. Sophomore Michael Moore and DeMartini assisted on that goal.
Sophomore goalkeeper Stone Gahagan recorded six saves and earned the shutout. The Nittany Lions outshot the Mighty Macs 13-12 and held a 6-4 advantage in corner kicks.
Immaculata returns to action on Wednesday, September 26, when they travel to face Widener University. Kick-off is set for 12 pm.
