Junior Gio DeMartini recorded the game-winner at 97:47 to propel Immaculata University to a 2-1 overtime win in men's soccer action on Monday, October 1, in Draper Walsh Stadium.
Junior Alan Lorentz put the Mighty Macs on the board at 9:21 off a direct kick. It stayed 1-0 through intermission until Dwyane Reevey tied the game at off an assist from Andrew Ocho at 46:41. DeMaritni added his game-winner off a perfect corner kick from Lorentz.
Sophomore goalkeeper Stone Gahagan collected six saves, while Kevin Nuss totaled one save. The Profs (5-5-1) outshot Immaculata 19-8 and held an 8-7 advantage in corner kicks.
The Mighty Macs (5-5) return to action on Wednesday, October 3, when they host Valley Forge Christian College. Kick-off is set for 4 pm.
