Bartow Named NFCA Second Team All-Region

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Immaculata University freshman shortstop Annemarie Bartow was named to the 2015 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Second Team All-East Region Monday. 
 
The Howell, N.J., native began the awards season being named the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Rookie of the Year. She also earned a place on the First Team All-CSAC.
 
Bartow made an immediate impact for the Mighty Macs during her rookie campaign as she helped the squad to its seventh-straight postseason appearance. She started all 38 games for the Mighty Macs this year, producing 54 hits, 36 RBIs and 41 runs scored. She led the team in every offensive category: batting average (.474), runs (41), hits (54), doubles (17), triples (4), home runs (9) and RBIs (36). She also has a team-best .930 slugging percentage and .548 on-base percentage.

During the 22 CSAC games this season, Bartow hit .542 with 39 hits, 30 runs scored and 26 RBIs. She had a 1.083 slugging and .602 on-base percentage. She was second in the league in doubles (13) and triples (4), while hitting a CSAC-high six home runs. She drew a league-leading 23 walks during conference play.
 
Bartow is the first Immaculata player selected to the all-region squad since Meagan Fitzgerald was a NFCA Third Team All-East Region pick in 2013.
 
The first, second and third team all-region squads included nine players from the CSAC.
