ASTON, Pa. - Immaculata's freshman midfielder
Alex Noel and junior back
Pat Friend were both chosen by the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) as its men's soccer players of the week. Noel was tabbed CSAC Player of the Week, while Friend earned CSAC Defensive Player of the Week honors.
Noel scored the first two goals of the game in the Mighty Macs' 3-0 win against Keystone. Noel's first goal was on a penalty kick, his third of the season. Noel now has five goals on the season. This is the third time this season Noel has been honored for his play by the league. The first two times were on the CSAC Honor Roll.
Friend played stellar defense for the Mighty Macs in their two shutouts last week of Rosemont (1-0) and Keystone (3-0). The leader in the back limited Rosemont to just seven shots and only two on-goal. Immaculata then held Keystone to just one shot-on-goal and just six shot for the match.
Immaculata is on the road twice this week with its first contest on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. at Marywood.
