GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. – Immaculata University's men's track and field team garnered 126 points to place third at the CSAC Quad Championship hosted by Gwynedd Mercy University on Sunday afternoon.
The Mighty Macs won four events while recording a total of nine Top 3 finishes.
Angel Chimal Rodriguez won both the 1500-meters in a clocking of four minutes, 31.13 seconds, and the 3000m in a time of 9:53.33. Rodriguez also came in second in the 800m with a time of 2:06.91.
Lucas Grudi won the high jump with a leap of six feet. Grudi also placed fifth in the triple jump with a jump of 40-4.25.
Thomas Sagendorf was the other winner in the javelin with a throw of 163-03.
Kris Panos was fifth in the 400m with a time of 53.18. Grudi also had a fifth-place finish in the 110m hurdles with a race of 19.86.
Panos and
Stu Rial were fourth and fifth, respectively, in the 400m hurdles. Panos had a time of 1:04.13 while Rial came in with a clocking of 1:07.48.
Both the Mighty Macs' 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams had third-place finishes.
Immaculata took second and third in the shot put as
Alex Felderstein had a toss of 42-2.00 while teammate
Jon Mayer had a throw of 41-6.50.
The Mighty Macs also finished third and fourth in the discus.
Alex Parente was third with a throw of 115-08, and Felderstein had a throw of 92-11 for fourth place.
Parente also placed fifth in the javelin with a distance of 127-05.
